As Redmond O'Neal sits in a Los Angeles jail on felony drug and firearms charges, his sister, Tatum O'Neal, is vowing to do whatever it takes to help save her brother from his addiction to heroin, Breaking Celebrity News is exclusively reporting.
Redmond, 26, was arrested in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday, August 2 after cops saw him run a red light. After cops conducted a search of O'Neal's car, heroin was allegedly found.
Redmond is still on felony probation and is being held without bail because of his most recent arrest. Redmond's half siblings, Patrick and Tatum, along with their father Ryan were at his arraignment last week. It was the first time the family had ever been to any of Redmond's numerous court appearances in connection with his DUI and heroin cases.
Tatum has battled an addiction to drugs, and is now in recovery, something she desperately wants her brother to maintain. "Tatum will move heaven and earth to do whatever she can to help Redmond get and stay sober. Tatum loves Redmond tremendously, and doesn't want to lose her brother to this disease. Tatum is sincere and genuine for her concern for her youngest brother," a source close to the family
