Jennifer Hudson may have shrunk on the outside, but she’s still expanding when it comes to her assets by purchasing a massive mansion in a Chicago suburb and Breaking Celebrity News has a sneak peek inside!

At 12,000 square-feet, Hudson’s new 6-bedroom, 7-bathroom castle-like home was built in 2007 and features a heated garage, theater, luxurious kitchen space, a finished walk-out basement, cherry hardwood floors and two laundry rooms.

According to our friends at Zillow.com, the 30-year-old Academy Award winner’s new home sits in Chicago’s southwestern suburb of Burr Ridge, Illinois and was last listed at $2,795,000.

Hudson was born and raised in Chicago, where in 2008 her family was struck with tragedy when her mother, brother and nephew were all murdered at gunpoint.

Her sister’s estranged husband, William Balfour, was arrested as the primary suspect the next day and was indicted just two months later and is currently awaiting trial.
