Russell Brand has been ruffling feathers in New Orleans after he allegedly snatched an iPhone from a man and then hurled it through a window, and Breaking Celebrity News has exclusive details on the ongoing case.

“The officers are trying to get in touch with Mr. Brand,” Sergeant Frank Robertson, a spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Department told Breaking Celebrity News in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.

“The case is still being investigated, and no charges have been filed on Mr. Brand as of yet.”

The bizarre incident occurred at around 7 pm on Monday in the Warehouse District of the city, when a paparazzi photographer named Timothy Jackson was reportedly trying to take photos of the Arthur star on his iPhone; Russell became angry and snatched it out his hand and threw it through a nearby window.

In photos obtained by Breaking Celebrity News, the disgruntled British actor can be seen leaning into the window of a silver car; he is then snapped with the phone in hand before flinging it high into the air.

Police confirmed that Jackson did file a report against 36-year-old Brand, who is currently in the Big Easy filming as untitled Diablo Cody movie with Julianne Hough.
