Al Capone is most infamous for his prohibition-era crime syndicate in Chicago, but the notorious gangster also owned a mansion in Palm Island, Florida, which is now up for sale and Breaking Celebrity News has photos inside the bootlegger's lavish holiday home.
History buffs will be excited to bid for the $9.95 million palatial estate, which epitomizes the laid-back atmosphere of the Sunshine State with its rolling green lawns and towering palm trees.
As Breaking Celebrity News previously reported, the Public Enemy Number One was eventually nailed for tax evasion and sent to notorious Alcatraz prison in 1934. He died at age 48 from a stroke, eight years after he was released.
Capone bought the mansion in 1928 for $40,000 and ever since then South Florida has emerged as a hub for gangsters and Mafia members wanting to escape the heat of the law and relax in the sun while conducting their illicit business, reported the Palm Beach Post.
