Emmy and Tony winning actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth is recovering Thursday, Breaking Celebrity News has learned, after she was taken to a New York hospital following an on-set accident during filming of her CBS show, The Good Wife.

Accounts vary on what exactly happened to the 43-year-old Broadway standout: the well-honored Chenoweth was smacked in the head by scaffolding, according to her publicist Jill Fritzo; CBS said the charismatic Pushing Daisies star was hit with errant lighting silk, a cloth used to control brightness during taping.

"While filming a scene for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth," the studio said. "All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."

It was unknown early Thursday if Chenoweth was still hospitalized.

Kristin has a long, detailed history of work-related injuries: she suffered neck injuries in the musical Wicked in 2003, fell off the stage while in rehearsal for The Apple Tree in 2006, and fell down a set of concrete stairs filming Glee last year, hurting her back.
