Katy Perry and John Mayer left no doubt that they are going for round two of dating, Thursday night as the couple left swanky Madeo restaurant in Beverly Hills following the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards holding hands, Breaking Celebrity News is reporting.

The 34-year-old Your Body Is A Wonderland singer shot a dirty look at the cameras while the 27-year-old Firework singer, clad in a black Elie Saab dress, stared straight ahead.

The duo are giving love a second chance after John dumped Katy after just a few weeks of dating.

Since her failed marriage to comic Russell Brand, the Teenage Dream singer briefly dated Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd before hooking up with Mayer, the show biz lothario who's dated stunners such as Minka Kelly, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

Mayer's new album, Born and Raised, is in stores now.
