A member of the New York Police Department is in custody after hatching a plan "to kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women," according to a criminal complaint against 28-year-old officer Gilberto Valle.
The Queens native, a six-year veteran based out of Manhattan, was apprehended after he detailed his plans in e-mail and IM communications to an unnamed co-conspirator.
Valle reportedly used police databases to gather intel for detailed files on his potential victims including photos. Ten of the officer's prospects have already confirmed knowing him to the FBI.
In his twisted writings, Valle contemplated roasting a victim "over a low heat to keep her alive as long as possible," speculating some were small enough to fit into his home oven if he "folded their legs."
In one e-mail, Valle wrote of one of his possible victims: "I love that she is asleep right now not have the slightest clue of what we have planned … her days are numbered ... she does look tasty, doesn't she?
Police told the NY Times there are no known victims of Valle's at this time.
FBI Acting Assistant Director Mary E. Galligan said the accusations against the cop "speak for themselves … it would be an understatement merely to say Valle’s own words and actions were shocking."
