Matthew McConaughey’s drastic 30-pound weight loss has been heavily chronicled and now Breaking Celebrity News can reveal that his Dallas Buyer's Club costar, Jared Leto, is following in the method actor's emaciated footsteps.

The rocker unveiled his startlingly skinny look at the Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday, sparking concern from both movie fans and health experts at his extreme transformation to play cross-dressing AIDS victim, Rayon, in the biopic.

"He does look like he's lost a lot weight. On a slight frame, as little as 10 pounds can really make a big difference," Jackie Keller, CEO of meal delivery service NutriFit, told Breaking Celebrity News in an exclusive interview.

"All that being said, as a slender man, Jared obviously doesn't need to lose weight except to play the role of a skinny, underfed guy with hollowed out checks and a long face.

"Jared can't be more than 120 pounds in theses photos," added nutritionist Majid Ali, who has not treated the star, told Breaking Celebrity News. "To me he looks pretty gaunt like someone who has been, or is ill."
